The Beginning

My first blog post! It's kind of scary and exciting to put yourself out into the wilds of the internet. I have been dreaming about starting a blog for awhile and am excited that the time is finally here. The start of my blog also coincides with the publication of my website, and to celebrate I am giving away a painting! Keep reading to find out how you can win. But first, let me tell you a bit about me. I live and paint in a small village in southern Alberta, Canada, and my studio is in a detached garage beside our home. Isn’t it cute?

And this is my view during the summer when the overhead door is wide open. I have had birds fly in, and when I have my beeswax pot on, the bees are drawn to the smell. Surprisingly, the bees don't freak me out, but the birds sure do!

As I write more posts, I will show you more of my studio and how I create my art. I love seeing where artists create and I hope you will too! Before I get to the win-a-painting bit, I want to first thank some talented friends who made my website possible.
