MYSTIC COVE

An abstract landscape encompassing several layers of encaustic wax and shellac burn. This is a process of layering pigmented shellac over encaustic wax.  Once dry, the shellac is fused which creates interesting visual texture.

On cradled birch panel, sides are gold leafed, wired for hanging, included hanging hardware
